From Emerging to Essential: What's Now Standard Practice in Emergency Medicine Pharmacy
Tuesday 10 November 1pm AEDT
Emergency medicine pharmacy has matured rapidly over the past decade - activities once considered innovative are now core, expected components of pharmacy practice. This interactive webinar celebrates the newly published Advanced Pharmacy Australia Emergency Medicine Standards and walks through what's now considered baseline practice: prioritisation of high-risk and time-critical patients, collaborative prescribing models, formal roles in stroke, sepsis and trauma response, and recommended minimum staffing levels for EM clinical pharmacy services.
The session will also explore how the AdPha Registrar Training Program in Emergency Medicine can provide a structured, two-year, work-integrated pathway to support the professional development of emerging specialised pharmacists in Emergency Medicine.
Whether you're establishing a new ED pharmacy service, benchmarking an existing one, or considering the Reg-TP as your next career step, this session will help you understand how these Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) resources can support you.
