Victorian Student Summer Placements
Get a taste of what hospital pharmacy can offer you
Each year the Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Victorian Branch coordinates a selection of Victorian hospital-based placements for pharmacy students over the summer. Student hospital placements give you early insight to:
- gain an introduction to hospital pharmacy services
- learn about the role of operational, clinical and specialist pharmacists
- get involved in quality use of medicines projects
- discover more about hospital pharmacy education and training opportunities.
Victorian Student Summer Placements 2026-2027
The AdPha Vic Branch coordinates a hospital summer student placement program for pharmacy students. Placements are offered by a selection of Victorian Hospital Pharmacy Departments at various times during the summer holiday period.

Participating hospitals will get in touch with applicants directly if they have been shortlisted for an interview once applicaitons have been reviewed. Please see the key program dates below.
Applications open: early June 2026
Placements will happen in December 2026 and January 2027
